Tuition & Payment Schedule

Tuition will be due in full by 5:00pm on Friday prior to the week of service by check or money order only.  If payment is not received in full by that date, a penalty of $5.00 will be charged each additional day it is late up to 2 days.  If payment is not received by the third day (Wednesday), services will be suspended.  To regain your child’s enrollment at Hugs Child Development Center , the full amount owed including late fees plus a $25.00 reinstatement fee must be paid prior to their return, provided space available.  There will be a $25.00 dollar charge for checks returned.  If after we receive a returned check we reserve the right to accept only money orders or cash for payments. The prices are only good for 10 hour days.

Drop-In Care:

·         Tuition for drop in care is due at the time your child is dropped off, money order/cash only, no check accepted for drop in care. 

·         We have a drop in rate for 5-10 hours of $45 per day for 1 child, $75 per day for 2 children, $105.00 per day for 3 children.  The hourly rate (up to 5 hours) is $8.00 per hour per child.

Hours of Operation:

Hugs Child Development Center is open from 6:30am to 7:00pm .  You are allowed ten hours of childcare per day at the rates printed above, for any care provided beyond that ten hours you will be billed $10.00 per hour per child, broken down in 30 minute increments 1-30 min.=$5.00, 31-60 min.=$10.00. After 7:00pm , late fees are $2.00 per minute per child. If the staff has not heard from you within thirty minutes after 7:00pm , the Director will be called and the police notified to pick up your child.

School-Age Children

For school breaks and early release days you will be billed the difference between the daily rate you pay and the full time rate.

Family Discount:

A 10% discount is given for the second and any additional children enrolled.  The discount is figured from whichever siblings tuition price is lower.  The discount is for full-time (5 days per week) attendance only.  Afterschooler’s are not included in discounts.

Registration/Material Fees

There is an annual non-refundable registration fee for 3-5 days a week  $45.00 for one child, $55.00 for two or more children, $35.00 for 2 day a week, and $25.00 for drop in’s.  This is due at time of registration and will be charged to your account on the month of your child’s anniversary at Hugs Child Development Center every year after.

ICCP Participants

ICCP participants will be required to pay the full registration fee before ICCP paperwork can be filled out.

Vacation/Credit Days & Holidays

Each family will receive one credit day per month per child for full time children only (4 or 5 days a week) after you’ve been with Hugs for 3 months. YOU MUST notify Hugs Child Development Center that you would like to use a credit day by 10:00am that your child will not be attending that day and tuition for that day will be credited to your account.  These days may not be accumulated and will be lost at the end of each month if not used.  Credit days may not be used on days that the Center is closed.  Tuition is computed based on a 52-week period.  This means that tuition is required for every week that a child is enrolled whether or not he/she attends.  Hugs Child Development Center will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and the day following Christmas. If the Holiday falls on a weekend then Hugs will close on the Friday or that Monday.  We will close at 6:00pm on the night of our Staff Christmas Party, the Friday night of our staff retreat, the night of our Parent Appreciation Picnic, and Christmas Eve. 

Notice of Removal/Change of Service

If you choose to remove your child from Hugs Child Development Center you must give a two- week written notice.  You will be responsible for full payment of tuition for those two weeks.  If you request a change of service you must provide two-week written notice or you will continue to be billed at the higher rate.

Drop Off/Pick Up

·         Parents are responsible for bringing each child inside, clocking them in and handing them over to the supervision of a teacher.  When picking up your child, do not allow or send your child out to your car until you are ready to walk out with them. 

·         Not clocking in or out on the computer will result in a $3.00 fee.

·         When you have someone else pick up your child, they must bring picture identification or the child will not be released to them.  For the safety of your child, no one not listed on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your child.

Child Abuse/Neglect

We are required by State law to report any suspected child abuse or neglect. 

Curriculum

Class curriculum and projects are designed to encourage and promote a child’s positive self-esteem, creativity, sense of responsibility, and social skills.  Active teacher participation and guidance encourage growth and learning at Hugs Child Development Center .  Our goal is to provide a fun and stimulating day for your child.  We offer the opportunity for your child to engage in a wide variety of activities including art, music, colors, shapes, and the alphabet.  Our curriculum is based on weekly themes.  There will be a monthly calendar for you to take home which will list all themes and upcoming special events. 

Share Day

Share Day is on Fridays.  Your child may bring a special item from home to share with their friends on Friday.  Please do not allow your child to bring toys, stuffed animals, etc. on any other day.  Hugs Child Development Center will not be responsible for lost or damaged items brought to the center.
